Two Adelanto Men Arrested for Subway Robbery

ADELANTO – Two Adelanto men have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery the occurred at the Subway in Adelanto last month.

On Thursday, February 23, 2017, just before 9:30 p.m. the two suspects, now Identified as Eric Dion Martin, 25, and Rishadd Damion Ward, 19, entered the business in the 14100 block of US Hwy 395 , brandished a handgun, and demanded cash from the register.The employees complied with the armed suspects demands and the suspects fled the scene. Deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to the call and began an investigation.

Through investigation, the two suspects were identified.and on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at around 1:17 p.m. Eric Martin was located and taken into custody at his home in the 11400 block of Sandy Ridge Court in the City of Adelanto. Rishadd Ward was already in custody for unrelated robbery charges from incidents in Barstow,.

Both men were booked into the High Desert Detention Center and are each being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
