APPLE VALLEY – A 41-year-old woman and 30-year-old man were arrested after an arrest warrant was served at an Apple Valley home. At around 7:30 p.m. a probation check was done on the home of Gabriel Curiel’s home in the 11800 block of Alana Way in the City of Victorville. A vehicle, which was stolen out of Hesperia at an earlier date was located during the search.
After the search a second warrant was served at an Apple Valley home that Curiel is known to frequent they located evidence linking Curiel and Wendy Peden to the vehicle theft. Neither suspect was at the home at the time of the search, but authorities were able to locate and detain them during an area traffic stop. Both were taken into custody and were booked into the High Desert Detention Center.
Curiel and Peden were booked for Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, Transportation of a Controlled Substance, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, and Curiel was also booked for an outstanding warrant.
Curiel was also found to be on PRCS -Post Release Community Supervision as a result of, California Assembly Bill AB109.
