VICTORVILLE, Ca. – Two men, one from Los Angeles and the other from Inglewood were arrested for pimping two women in the City of Victorville.
An online advertisement led investigators to the Motel 6 located in the 16000 block of Stoddard Wells Road. Investigators believed based on the advertisement that one of the advertised females was a juvenile. An undercover investigation was initiated to locate, contact, and rescue the victim.
The victim was located at the motel near a vehicle occupied by two men and one woman. All were detained and learned to be associated with the victim. All four were transported and interviewed at the Victorville Police Department. Through investigation, it was learned that there were two victims, a 21-year-old San Bernardino woman, and a 20-year-old Los Angeles woman. Both were determined to be involved in the commercial sex industry. The suspects were identified as Jamal Allen, 24, of Los Angeles, and Joseph Burnell Gaines, 26, of Inglewood were both arrested for pimping and pandering the victims from the motel.
Allen and Gaines were booked at the High Desert Detention Center. Allen is being held in lieu of $200,000 and Gaines is being held in lieu of $300,000 bail. Both victims were provided with services and released from the police station.
This investigation is ongoing and investigators believe there are other unidentified victims related to this case.
