HIGHLAND – One Redlands man along with a male transient were arrested Friday after a deputy saw a vehicle missing the description of a vehicle used during multiple East Highlands Ranch mail thefts.
At around 1:30 p.m. the deputy from the Highland Station stopped the vehicle in the area of Baseline Street and Church Avenue.
The vehicle stopped and found to be occupied by Joseph Oyas, 47, and Raymond Whitzke, 37. Both were found to be in possession of stolen mail and burglary tools and were arrested. Both Oyas and Whitzke were booked into the Central Detention Center for possession of stolen property and committing mail theft.
