BARSTOW – A 34-year-old man held two Barstow women at a home against their will Monday afternoon authorities said. At around 4:22 p.m. the Barstow Police were dispatched to the home located in the 800 block of Second Avenue. When they arrived they learned that Andrew Ramirez went to the home where his girlfriend resides, the two got into an argument and his girlfriend left the home.
Ramirez then pulled out a loaded firearm and threatened the two women at the home, demanding that the tell his girlfriend to return home. The two women were held inside the home, against their will at gunpoint for around two hours. Police arrived and made entry to the home where they located Ramirez hiding in the back bedroom of the home.
Ramirez was booked into jail without further incident, He remains at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto in lieu of $200,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court in the morning of Thursday, January 5, 2016.
