RIVERSIDE – After responding to a domestic disturbance call and finding a woman with life-threatening injuries who subsequently died on Sunday Riverside detectives began an intense investigation. Through investigation, they learned that the suspect met his girlfriend at the intersection of Calmhill Drive and California Avenue where he stabbed her several times and fled the area.
The suspect was later identified as 25-year-old Riverside resident, Jared Bischoff. At 5:00 a.m. on Monday as a result of information from the Riverside Police Department, the San Diego Police Department located Bischoff. A pursuit ensued with Bischoff fleeing the scene in his vehicle. He entered the I-15 freeway and the pursuit continued to the 91-freeway.
Bischoff exited the freeway on Madison Avenue where Riverside Police took over the pursuit which ended on Rubidoux and Grand Avenues. Bischoff was arrested without further incident and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for murder.
