JURUPA VALLEY – A female U.S. Postal Carrier working in Jurupa Valley was robbed of the packages on Saturday afternoon. Just before 2:45 p.m. the mail carrier was on her route in the 6300 block of Williams Avenue in the City of Jurupa Valley when a woman walked up to her to hand her a letter addressed to “Santa Claus, North Pole”. The victim looked at the letter and the suspect sprayed her with an unknown aerosol chemical irritant.
A male accomplice approached the victim and physically assaulted her. During the assault, the female suspect removed the packages from the victim’s vehicle and packed them into an early-2000’s model, white Ford Explorer. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The suspects were described as a White woman, around 30-years-old, 5’5 in height, thin build, and long dark-colored hair (mid back length). She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and black spandex pants. The male suspect was described as a White or Hispanic man, around 45-years-old, 5’8 in height, and around 190 pounds. He was wearing a black baseball cap, black t-shirt, and blue jeans.
Deputies checked the area, but were unable to locate the suspects. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with additional information regarding this case is encouraged to contact Investigator Martinez at the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station at (951) 955-2600.
