GRAND TERRACE – A UPS employee was arrested for petty theft after being caught on home surveillance stealing a package at the doorstep of a Grand Terrace home on Tuesday.
Rushaunte Reed, 24, of Colton, was captured from the resident’s “Ring Doorbell” system stealing a package while delivering a different package at the home in the 12000 block of Mirado Avenue, Grand Terrace. Reed, a seasonal temporary UPS employee was identified as the suspect. Reed’s employment with UPS was terminated.
Reed was located at his Colton home on Thursday, December 7, 2017. “Deputies searched Reed’s home but did not find any additional stolen property,” San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials said. Reed was booked into jail for Petty Theft.
Deputies believe Reed may be involved in stealing other delivery packages and a photo of Reed is being released.
