On Saturday morning a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s detective from the Specialized Investigations Division – Bomb/Arson Detail woke up to find that his department assigned 2006 Chevy 3500 Utility truck was stolen from the driveway of his home.
He the incident at around 9:30 a.m., and the vehicle information was immediately entered into the system as a stolen vehicle. The surrounding area was also searched for evidence or for potential witnesses.
An abandoned vehicle was located at around 5:00 p.m. in the area of 263rd Street and Duncan Road on an abandoned dirt road. All equipment was located in the vehicle and no arrests have been made. There were no firearms in the vehicle at the time of the theft.
