VICTORVILLE – Remembering the lives lost while serving the United States of America; that is what Memorial Day is about. To many who have never been or loved a servicemember Monday, May 29, 2017, is not much more than a day off. Many are going to the beach, camping, or doing one of many other things that they do as summer moves in.
Teaching children, even when many adults may not realize the meaning of the day is an important part of upbringing and educating to appreciate those who paid the ultimate price. Mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, husbands, wives, cousins, and friends of many are gone leaving behind heartbreak that all American people should acknowledge by honoring them.
Victor Valley Memorial Park, located at 17150 C Street in the City of Victorville is hosting a Memorial Day Service on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, 2017, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
