VICTORVILLE – Deputies from the Victorville Station are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred in the Victorville Winco Parking lot

on Thursday morning.
Sheriff’s Dispatch received the report of the incident that occurred at 15350 Roy Rogers Drive just before 9:30 a.m. The victim was exiting his vehicle when he was approached by an unknown suspect. “The suspect attempted to take his bank deposit, the victim grabbed his money and ran from the suspect,” said San Bernardino County Spokeswoman Cindy Bachman. The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot north on Amargosa Road.
Deputies searched the area for the suspect and reviewed footage from nearby businesses. The suspect has not been located as of Thursday afternoon. The suspect was described by witnesses as a black man who is approximately 6’ tall. He was described as wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, an orange reflective shirt, and blue jeans.
