VICTORVILLE, Calif. – Victorville station deputies are asking for the public’s help to identify a couple who stole cases of beer from a grocery store and assaulted the security guard.
On Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at around 8:45 p.m., the unidentified Hispanic male and female walked into the Stater Bros. located at 13700 Bear Valley Road. The couple placed several cases of beer into a shopping cart being pushed by the male suspect and the female carried another case. They passed the checkout lanes and walked toward the exit without paying for the beer. The security guard noticed and attempted to stop them but he was punched in the face by the male suspect. The suspect ran from the store with the one case of beer, leaving the basket, Sheriff’s officials said.
