Victorville Man Armed with an Ax Arrested For Robbery and Assault

 

VICTORVILLE – A 47-year-old Victorville man was arrested after attacking another man with an ax on Tuesday officials said. The attack occurred on August 23rd when the victim, a 27-year-old Victorville man, went to a home in the 14900 block of Condor Road to retrieve his vehicle. When at the location, the suspect, 47-year-old Michael Cecil, who was armed with an ax,  hit the victim several times.  He then stole the victim’s bicycle, backpack, and other belongings.

The victim left the location walking through the desert to an In-N-Out restaurant, where he requested help. The male victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

A search warrant was obtained and executed at the Condor Road address where deputies located the suspect, the ax, and the victim’s stolen property. Cecil was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center. He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail for the robbery and assault. He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday afternoon.
