VICTORVILLE – A Victorville man rushed his girlfriend to Desert Valley Hospital after beating he unconscious on Sunday night.
Abraham Viveros Benitez, 25, and his girlfriend were driving back to Victorville from San Bernardino. The two got into an argument and Benitez struck the victim in the face multiple times. The victim became unconscious and Benitez drove her to the hospital. “Deputies were notified by hospital staff and responded to the hospital where they arrested him,” said Victorville Sheriff’s Department Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez.
Benitez was arrested on Sunday at around 9:13 p.m. at Desert Valley Hospital. He was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Kidnapping and Causing Corporal Injury to Spouse or Cohabitant. He is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
