VICTORVILLE, Calif. – A 40-year-old man was arrested after attempting to run his ex-girlfriend over on Wednesday evening.
At around 5:20 p.m. deputies from the Victorville Station responded to the 12400 block of Senicio Avenue in the City of Victorville for the report of a disturbance. When they arrived they learned that Stephan Daniel Harvey, drove to his ex-girlfriend’s home. When he arrived he rammed his vehicle into the vehicle she was sitting in multiple times. The female victim got out of the vehicle to run inside the home, but as she ran towards the home, Harvey attempted to run her over.
“As he drove towards her he yelled out threats that he was going to kill her,” said Victorville Sheriff’s Station Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez. “The victim made it safely into the home without injury and the suspect fled the location prior to deputies arriving.” The suspect was located at a motel in the 14800 block of Bear Valley Road in Hesperia at around 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019. Harvey was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Attempted Murder. He is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on January 22, 2019. Meanwhile, Harvey is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
