Victorville Man Arrested for Shooting at His Brother When Confronted About Financial Matter

VICTORVILLE, Calif. – A Victorville man was arrested for shooting at his brother authorities said.

On Wednesday, April 3, 2019, deputies from the Victorville station responded to the 12800 block of Cimarron Way for the report of an assault with a weapon. Deputies learned that Victor Bautista, 47, of Adelanto, went to the home of his brother, Luis Bautista, 64, of Victorville, to confront him about a financial matter. The verbal altercation quickly escalated and became physical. Luis left to retrieve a handgun, pointed it at Victor and fired a shot. The shot missed Victor.

Luis Bautista was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center for attempted murder. He is scheduled to appear in Victorville Superior Court on April 5, 2018. He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
