Victorville Man Caught with Meth, Scales, Cash, and a Pipe After 11-Mile Pursuit

VICTORVILLE – A 31-year-old Victorville man was arrested after leading deputies on a chase, losing control of his vehicle, and getting into a rollover crash on Friday night.

Just after 10:20 p.m. Matthew Gallo was driving a 2001 Nissan Altima near Union and 7th Streets in the City of Victorville. Once the vehicle stopped, Gallo got out of the vehicle and fled on foot before being detained by deputies.

Gallo was found to have an active felony no-bail warrant. Methamphetamine, scales, a glass pipe, and over $900 in cash were located inside the vehicle. Gallo was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Transportation of Controlled Substance for Sale, Possession of Controlled Substance for Sale, Evading a Peace Officer with Disregard for Safety, Felony No-Bail Warrant. He is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on February 26, 2018.
