VICTORVILLE – A 64-year-old homeless Victorville man has been identified as the pedestrian who died as a result of a hit-and-run.
On Friday, July 6, 2018, at around 9:00 p.m. Steven Russell Archuleta was crossing Seventh Street near East Sage Street when a vehicle struck him, causing him to flip over the vehicle and land in the roadway. The driver of the silver 2005 Ford Taurus continued driving northbound, fleeing the scene of the collision. Archuleta was transported to Victor Valley Global Medical Center in preparation to be airlifted to a trauma center. He was pronounced deceased shortly after arriving at the hospital. The vehicle the struck Archuleta is believed to look similar to the vehicle in the photograph and will likely have front-end damage and is missing a passenger side mirror.
