VICTORVILLE- A Victorville man has been arrested for the Attempted Murder of his brother.
On July 17, 2017, deputies with the Victorville Police Department responded to a report of a man that had been shot in his chest receiving care at Victor Valley Global Medical Center.
Sources told deputies that the victim 23-year-old, Victor Thomas of Victorville was engaged in a conversation with his brother the suspect, 20-year-old, Jakarr Thomas also a resident of Victorville, the conversation escalated into an argument and Jakarr Thomas shot the victim once in the chest and fled the location.
The victim was driven to the hospital by a family member, from there he was airlifted to another hospital for treatment.
At Around 1:05 p.m., Sheriff deputies located the suspect at a home in the 16600 block of Culley Street. Upon searching the residence, two handguns were found. One of the handguns was identified as the weapon that was used in the shooting.
The suspect was arrested and booked for attempted murder into High Desert Detention Center. Jakarr Thomas is scheduled to appear in the Victorville Superior Court on July 19, 2017.
