Victorville Man Shot and Killed Wednesday

LONG BEACH – A 21-year-old Victorville man was shot dead Wednesday morning and the suspects remain at large authorities said. At around 2:20 a.m. in the 1300 block of Wesley Drive in Central Long Beach between 6-10 gunshots were fired. The shots were reported by multiple parties and police responded to the scene.

When they arrived, a man from a neighboring home attempted to perform CPR on the man lying in the street. Although witnesses said that the man appeared to already be deceased, authorities still took over performing CPR. Shortly after, Daniel Jacob Lacerna Sevilla was pronounced dead at the scene. No suspects were at the scene, but witnesses said that they heard a vehicle speed off shortly after the shots were fired.

Detectives conducted an investigation interviewing nearby residents and others who may have had any information. According to the press release, there was no known motive, but the shooting was not believed to have been random. Friends of Sevilla has set up a Go Fund Me Account in order to assist with his Memorial and for any other needs that may arise for his family, including his 3-year-old daughter.
