VICTORVILLE- Victorville Police discovers evidence consistent with prostitution upon executing a search warrant at a Victorville residence on Las Piedras Drive.
On October 26,2016 a 25-year-old female victim involved in the incident explained to deputies that she was introduced to a man a few days prior to the incident, later identified as Orlando Mays, 32 of Victorville. The victim stated that Mays purchased clothing and salon services for her. Mays then shuttled the victim to different San Bernardino and Victorville locations instructing the female victim to contact men in order to arrange sexual relations with them for money. Mays created online dating profiles in order to market his sex for hire enterprise. The victim was able to get one of the Johns, who solicited her for sex to drop her off at a location in Apple Valley. Once at the Apple Valley location, she contacted police to escort her back to Mays residence to pick up her property that was left at that location.
Victorville Police requested a search warrant for Mays residence. The search warrant was served on October 27, 2016, when Mays was not at the residence. Deputies discovered large amounts of cash and other items that are consistent with prostitution case evidence.
Orlando Mays was arrested by Victorville Police Department’s Gang Unit on November 5, 2016. Mays was booked for Pandering at High Desert Detention Center. Mays has a court appearance scheduled for November 8, 2016, regarding this case.
