VICTORVILLE, Calif. – A Victorville woman was arrested for the abuse of her 2-month-old son.
On Wednesday, July 24, 2019, 33-year-old LaShaundre Doss took her son to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment of a burn to his elbow on . When doctors examined the child, they found numerous other injuries to the baby boy, many of them in different stages of healing. All of the injuries were consistent with child abuse, according to LLUMC Forensic Pediatricians.
The baby is hospitalized and remains in the Neonatal Intensive care unit. Detectives learned that the baby boy has lived in the City of Victorville with Doss, his biological mother. On Thursday, August 8, 2019, Doss was arrested for Willful Cruelty to a Child. She was booked at the Central Detention Center and is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
