VICTORVILLE – A Victorville woman was found guilty of stealing over $200,000 from an elderly man, LA County District Attorney officials said. Shirley Chrissy Urick, 34 was convicted of three counts of theft from an elder.
Urick used the fake name of “Gina Lee” when meeting the 78-year-old victim at a grocery store parking lot in July 2013. She continued telling the victim lies and asking to borrow money. For 16 months Urick was loaned tens of thousands of dollars and had some of her living expenses paid by the victim.
Finally, in January this year, Urick was arrested. She is scheduled to be sentenced on August 25th and is facing up to 8 years in prison.
