VICTORVILLE – A 27-year-old Lancaster woman was arrested after beating her sleeping boyfriend in the head with griddle at the Budget Inn in the City of Victorville.
On Monday, November 11, 2018, at around 11:40 p.m. deputies from the Victorville station responded to the Budget Inn where Miquela Baker and her boyfriend were sharing the room after the report of a domestic disturbance. When deputies arrived they found the victim suffering from non-life-threatening injuries to his head and eye. “Baker became combative with deputies during their attempt to take her into custody and was subsequently pepper sprayed,” said Victorville Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez.
After being treated at the scene by AMR he was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Inflicting Corporal Injury on a Spouse/Cohabitant. She is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail and is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Wednesday, November 14, 2018.
