RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. – A mother who intentionally left her 3-year-old daughter in a hot car, in order to “remove lustful demons” from her was found guilty of first-degree murder.
Angela Phakhin, 29, was found guilty on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, of the 2017 murder of her daughter. Phakhin and her fiance Untwan Smith, according to court records, left her daughter, Maiya in the blazing hot SUV twice; once for 4.5 hours in June 2017 and the following day for 9 hours.
