TEMECULA – A 31-year-old Temecula man now faces murder charges after the woman he attacked at the CVS Store died as a result of her injuries. The 54-year-old woman who is now identified as Tammy Serrano of Temecula was pronounced dead at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar.
The incident took place at the CVS Pharmacy located at 31771 Rancho California Road in Temecula

Monday evening. For reasons still under investigation, Brian Eldon Saylor attacked Serrano inside the store. Store employees stepped in stopping the attack and detaining Saylor until authorities arrived.
Saylor was booked into the Southwest Detention Center where he remains in lieu of $1 million bail. The incident remains under investigation by the Central Homicide Unit.
