SAN BERNARDINO – A 29-year-old Colton man has been identified by San Bernardino Coroner’s officials as the man shot and killed outside a San Bernardino Bar Monday night.
At 8:59 p.m. police were dispatched to a silent alarm at the Office Bar located at 123 N. E Street. When deputies arrived they found Wilkins lying on the sidewalk with upper body trauma. Deputies quickly determined that Wilkin was unresponsive and medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Through investigation, it was learned that James Wilkins was involved in an altercation that ultimately led to his shooting death. Three shots were reportedly heard by area witnesses who saw Wilkins begin to run then collapse.
