74-Year-Old Fontana Man Arrested for Distribution of Child Porn

FONTANA – A 74-year-old Fontana man was arrested for distribution of child pornography on Thursday morning. Robert Brashears, a long-time resident was arrested at his Fontana home in the 18000 block of Vine Street at around 11:00 a.m. The arrest came after an intensive investigation into the above-mentioned crime.

Between the dates of November 1st and 7th this year, detectives from the Fontana Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force downloaded two videos containing child porn from the internet which were made available from Brashears home computer. Authorities obtained and served a search warrant at the home of Brashears, where he was taken into custody.

Additional videos containing child porn and an active file sharing program were also located on his computer during the preliminary search officials said. Brashears was booked into the West Valley Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear at the Rancho Cucamonga Superior Court on the morning of Tuesday, December 27th.
