VICTORVILLE – With the help of a Victorville non-profit organization, over 50 families will be celebrating Thanksgiving with a special meal. A C.O.R.E. Solution, through Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino,
provides utility assistance to low income families in the High Desert area. The program is different than most, since in addition to a short class, they provide counseling to each client so that they are able direct them to the resources that will help them with any other needs.
A C.O.R.E. Solution opened up a Thanksgiving Dinner giveaway to their clients, providing those who were unable to provide this for themselves due to extenuating circumstances a sense of normalcy. The small A C.O.R.E. Solution team opened the list up to over 100 clients first, then to others in the community. They received 63 requests, and approximately 50 of those who who requested picked up their Thanksgiving Dinners. These meals included mashed potatoes, stuffing, vegetables and turkey, chicken, or a gift card.
The giveaway lasted from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the A C.O.R.E. Solution office located at 14318 California Ave #106 in the City of Victorville.
