HESPERIA – A 76-year-old man was arrested for sexually abusing several children while working as a child caregiver at the Escobar Family Child Care in the City of Hesperia. On July 6, 2016, the allegations of sexual abuse of children at the child care was reported to Hesperia Deputies.
Detectives investigated the claims of the sexual abuse of children at the daycare, by the caregiver, Identified as Humberto Escobar. The San Bernardino County Crimes Against Children Detail assumed the investigation on August 4th and on August 5th they spoke with Escobar regarding the accusations.
After the interview, Escobar was arrested for the penetration with a foreign object with a child less than 10 years old. He was booked into the High Desert Detention Center and is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Tuesday afternoon.
