Adelanto and Oro Grande Teens Arrested for Robbing Adelanto Liquor Store

ADELANTO – Two female teens were arrested for robbing the Michael’s Market and Liquor in the City of Adelanto over the weekend.

Oro Grande resident, Ashicia Ravenel, 19, and Adelanto resident, Delaysia White, 18, allegedly walked into the market at approximately 9;50 p.m. and attempted to steal candy and other snacks hiding them in White’s purse. The store clerk confronted the two and asked them to leave the store.

Both, Ravenel and White left the store but returned shortly after. “Ravenel was prevented from entering the store; however, White was able to gain entry and immediately began fighting with the store clerk, hitting him several times, and stealing a bracelet off his wrist,” Sheriff’s spokeswoman, Staci Parkes in the news release.

Victor Valley stations deputies were dispatched to the store at 11324 Bartlett Avenue and located White inside the store. White was taken into custody, but Ravenel fled the scene prior to deputy arrival. Ravenel was located at a home in the 10400 block of Buckboard Circle in the City of Adelanto and was taken into custody at approximately 1:00 a.m.

Both Ravenel and White were booked into the West Valley Detention Center for Robbery and Burglary and are being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
