ADELANTO – An Adelanto man was arrested the assault of his girlfriend and his sister last month. On Friday, January 27, 2017, deputies from the Victor Valley Station were dispatched to a home in the City of Adelanto for the report of a domestic violence incident. Upon arrival, deputies learned that the victim was involved in a verbal altercation with the suspect identified as 24-year-old Christopher Bulger Jr. The altercation escalated and became physical authorities said.

The victim reported that she attempted to leave the home and the suspect would not allow her to do so. Bulger’s sister attempted to help the victim, but Bulger also turned on her. Both women were treated for minor injuries. The suspect left the home and deputies were unable to locate him. An arrest warrant was obtained for the suspect. Days later, on February 1, 2017, during a follow up a deputy was able to make contact with Bulger at his home in the 10900 block of Aztec Lane in the City of Adelanto.

Bulger was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for false imprisonment, battery with serious bodily injury, and inflicting injury on a spouse or cohabitant. The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office subsequently filed charges of felony inflicting injury on a spouse or cohabitant and assault. Bulger is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
