ADELANTO – A 28-year-old Adelanto man was arrested for a late-January home invasion robbery officials said. On Friday, January 27, 2017, at around 11:38 a.m. deputies were dispatched to a home for the report of a home invasion robbery in the City of Adelanto. When deputies arrived they learned that five male subjects forced entry to the home. The victim was assaulted by the suspects, who punched them in the head while demanding money. The suspects took $4.00 from the victim and left the home.
The victim suffered minor injuries but declined medical attention. Deputies attempted to locate the suspects, but the suspects fled the location. An arrest warrant was obtained for the only known suspect, Keneith Mackey. Deputies made contact with Mackey at his home on Monday, February 6, 2017, and was arrested without incident. He was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Home Invasion Robbery and is being held in lieu of $200,000 bail.
