ADELANTO – A 34-year-old Adelanto man was arrested for producing child pornography and lewd acts with 5-year-old relative authorities said. On April 28, 2017, the Victor Valley Station began investigating a Cyber tip that was sent to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) by an online digital file storage company. The tip sent confirmed child pornography through images and video.

As part of the preliminary investigation, the detective obtained a warrant to secure the subscriber information for the Internet Service Provider. On Thursday, May 18, 2017, the information identifying the account holder was received. The suspect, who was in the videos, was positively identified as Jonathan Robert Jones. The San Bernardino County Specialized Investigations Division – Crimes Against Children Detail responded to assist and a search warrant for Jones’ home was obtained. Evidence was seized from the suspect’s home which helped to corroborate various crimes were committed.

Jones was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for sodomy with child under 10, oral copulation with child under 10, sodomy in concert with force, oral copulation, and child pornography. He is being held in lieu of $300,000 bail. Authorities learned that Jones at one point, lived with his family in the Colton area and they believe that there may be other victims in that and/or the Victor Valley area.
