ADELANTO – An Adelanto woman was arrested for an assault that began as a result of a verbal altercation on Monday afternoon.
At around 3:34 p.m. deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to an assault in the 18200 block of Madrone Street in the City of Adelanto. When deputies arrived, they learned that while arguing, Stacy Jones, 22, threw a candle with glass base, a cooking skillet, and an 8-inch knife at the victim. The victim was hit in the back of the head with the candle and sustained a laceration. Authorities said that as they arrived, Jones was still yelling was witnessed throwing a rock at the victim.
Jones was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for assault with a weapon and for an outstanding warrant, she is being held in lieu of $75,000 bail.
