VICTORVILLE – Deputies from the Victorville Station responded to a call regarding the assault of a 27-year-old man on Monday morning.
According to the victim, at around 10:20 a.m. he was at his house in the 16700 block of Verde Street when four armed suspects entered.
He told authorities that the suspects were looking for another man, who was not at the home. “The suspects assaulted the victim, including hitting him in the head with the stock of a firearm, before leaving the scene,” said Victorville Sheriff’s Station spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries to his head and arms. The victim was unable to identify or provide any other suspect information. The investigation is ongoing.
