HESPERIA, Ca. – Two teens were arrested for assault with a deadly weapon on Saturday, authorities said.
At around 7:04 p.m. deputies from the Hesperia Station responded to a home in the 14000 block of Cedar Street for the report of a stabbing. The victim said that he was involved in a verbal altercation with 18-year-old Hesperia resident, David Sanchez. A 16-year-old Hesperia boy armed himself with a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim multiple times. Sanchez also grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim. The 43-year-old male victim was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
Sanchez was booked into the High Desert Detention Center and the teen boy was booked into the San Bernardino Juvenile Hall. Both are facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon causing great bodily injury.
Sanchez was released on bail just hours later on January 17, 2021, at 1:27 a.m.
