BEAUMONT, Calif. – A cause of structure fire at an animal shelter on Sunday evening is being investigated at this time.
On March 17, 2019, at around 7:04 p.m., Beaumont Police and CalFire responded to a structure fire in the 700 block of 4th Street in Beaumont. Upon arrival, they learned that the location was an animal shelter. The owner, who was entering the engulfed structure to save animal was located by officers. The officers were able to evacuate the owner and several of the dogs.
CalFire firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and provide clean up of the area. All animals were able to be evacuated. No people or animals were injured as a result of the fire.
