HESPERIA, Calif. – A 31-year-old Hesperia woman was arrested after abusing her 9-year-old stepdaughter officials said.
On Sunday, March 17, 2019, at around 2:03 p.m., the mother of the girl walked into the Hesperia Station to report that she picked up the child from her father’s Hesperia home and she had bruises on her face. The girl told the deputy that her stepmother, Wanda Lee Amezcua (also known as Wanda Hernandez) was intoxicated and grabbed the girl off of the bed by her arm.
