MUSCOY, Ca. – An Apple Valley man and a Barstow juvenile were arrested for the murder of a San Bernardino man.
On Sunday, December 29, 2019, at around 6:35 p.m. deputies responded to the Macy’s Market, located at 2520 N. Macy Street in Muscoy for the report of shots fired. When they arrived they found that the victim unresponsive and they began attempting to save his life. Tremon Jordan, 19, of San Bernardino was transported to the San Bernardino Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
Homicide detectives began investigating the incident and learned that several black males approached Jordan and a friend of his. As Jordan and his friend left the area, shots were fired and Jordan was struck. They black males fled the location in a grey vehicle. Multiple leads were followed and teo suspects were identified as being involved with the shooting.
On Wednesday, January 15, 2020, detectives arrested Denzel Paulk, 18, of Apple Valley and a 14-year-old Barstow boy for murder. Although the motive is unknown at this time detectives do believe that the shooting was gang related.
