APPLE VALLEY, Ca. – A 34-year-old Apple Valley man was arrested after being found in possession of credit cards, birth certificates, and other personal information that did not belong to him.
On December 29, 2020, a report was made in the 20000 block of Quivero Road indicating an unknown subject had opened a checking account and credit cards using their personal information. The investigation led deputies to Joseph Curry, which led to his January 6, 2021, arrest. Curry was found to be in possession of numerous credit cards, birth certificated, mail, and notebooks containing information of over 100 victims.
Curry was booked for identity theft at High Desert Detention Center with bail set at $50,000. He is scheduled to appear in Victorville Superior Court on January 8, 2021.
