APPLE VALLEY, Ca. – An Apple Valley man was arrested for the murder of his wife on Saturday, authorities said.
At around 8:13 a.m. deputies from the Apple Valley Station conducted a welfare check on Giona Beth “Giona” Oladapo, 29, a resident of the home in the 21800 block of Goshute Avenue. When they arrived they location Giona deceased inside a bedroom. They immediately began searching for her 30-year-old husband, Olatokunbo Dumotein “David” Oladapo. Homicide detectives responded to the location to investigate.
At around 10:50 a.m., the suspect was located during a Loma Linda traffic stop. He was transported to Sheriff’s Headquarters where he was interviewed and subsequently taken into custody. He was booked into jail for murder.
