HESPERIA – One Apple Valley man was arrested for a Monday night armed robbery and two other suspects remain at large.
On Monday, January 8, 2018, at around 10:20 p.m. deputies from the Hesperia station responded to the 16900 block of Main Street in the City of Hesperia for the report of an armed robbery. The victim reported being in the parking lot near the location when he was robbed at gunpoint by two Hispanic men and one female. The victim followed the suspect vehicle and was able to update dispatchers with the vehicle location. The suspects parked and fled the vehicle on foot. A Sheriff’s helicopter responded to the scene to assist as patrol units set up a perimeter. Horacio Campos, 36, was located hiding near a residence in the 8800 block of Tangerine Avenue. The other two suspects remain at large.
Through a record check, deputies learned that Campos was found to be a parolee at large. He was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for robbery.
The investigation is ongoing, and detectives continue to attempt to identify the other two suspects involved.
