RIVERSIDE – A 28-year-old man was arrested for a stabbing at the downtown bus station located in the 3900 block of University Avenue on Sunday.
A 911 call went into dispatch at around 6:45 p.m. When the first responding officers arrived they found the victim suffering from a stab wound. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Preliminary investigations provided deputies with a suspect description. The suspect information was broadcasted for other officers be on the lookout. Officers working near the Fox Theater heard the description and found Anthony Pearce, who matched the description. Pearce was detained without incident, was positively identified by a witness, and was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for assault with a deadly weapon.
