BAKERSFIELD, Ca. – A stabbing on Monday, October 21, 2019, left a man dead authorities said.
At around 8:15 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of Lomita Drive in the City of Bakersfield for the report of a stabbing. When they arrived they located a man suffering to tauma to his upper body, sheriff’s officials said. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
Through the investigation, 26-year-old David Valles of Bakersfield was identified as the suspect in the case. He was located in the 900-block of South Union Avenue and taken into custody without incident. Valles has been booked into the Central Receiving Facility and is charged with murder.
The victim’s name is currently being withheld pending the notification of the next of kin.
