VICTORVILLE – The Adelanto man who beat and stabbed his girlfriend on Sunday evening has been located and arrested.
Officials said that on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, a search warrant was served in the 16700 block of A Street in the City of Victorville, where they located Albert Rivota and arrested him. The arrest came after the beating and stabbing of a 24-year-old Victorville woman. Witnesses said that the two were involved in a verbal altercation leading to the suspect beating and stabbing the woman multiple times.
When deputies arrived they found the woman suffering from multiple stab wounds, along with a good Samaritan who stopped the attack. The suspect, later identified as Albert Rivota, 25, had already fled the scene. The victim was airlifted to a trauma center in stable condition. Rivota was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for attempted murder
