RIVERSIDE – A Riverside AM/PM burglary suspect remains at large after an armed robbery on Monday evening. At around 6;02 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2017, a suspect entered the store in the 6200 block of Day Street.
He approached the counter to purchase a pack of cigarettes. The clerk began to ring up the suspect’s purchase and the suspect pulled out a handgun from his pocket. The suspect demanded cash and out of fear for his safety, the clerk complied. The suspect quickly left the customer-occupied store and fled in a vehicle, possibly a blue Chevy Silverado extra cab pickup truck.
The suspect is described as a Black man in his 30’s. He is around 5’8” tall and 185 pounds with a possible mustache. He was last seen wearing a gray baseball cap with black logo, gray and blue Pendleton type shirt, white t-shirt, black pants, black shoes with white on the bottom, and dark sunglasses.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Wheeler at (951) 353-7134 or RWheeler@riverisideca.gov.
