On Saturday, October 19, 2019, at around 2:56 .m. deputies responded to the liquor store located at 13601 Navajo Road in the Town of Apple Valley for the report of an unknown problem. When they arrived they learned that three unknown suspects, entered the store taking six, 1-liter bottles of brandy. The store employee, a 54-year-old Victorville man, chased the suspects out of the store.

The suspect punched him in the face and attempted to go back inside the store. The store employee pepper sprayed the suspect and held the door closed. The suspect fled in an unknown direction.
