RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The death of a 27-year-old inmate at the Robert Presley Detention Center in the City of Riverside sparked a death investigation Monday night.
At around 9:15 p.m., jail staff was made aware that the inmate was in an unknown type of medical distress while in his cell. Staff rushed to his aid, but despite the lifesaving measures taken to preserve his life, he was pronounced dead by medical staff. The death is under investigation. The name of the inmate is not being released at this time.
