RIVERSIDE – Clear images of a battery thief, who disguises himself as a maintenance worker and his vehicle have been obtained by the Riverside Police Department. Detectives are asking for your help to identify the suspect who is believed to be responsible for multiple thefts throughout the City of Riverside.
“The suspect approaches communication housing boxes, which is located on the sidewalk, and is targeting the heavy duty batteries inside the housing box,” Riverside Police officials said. The male suspect is seen in the photos wearing an orange reflective vest and a hard hat, similar to those who are authorized to be working on the equipment. He was last seen driving a white 2004 2-door Pontiac sedan.
